The NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) course prepares participants to oversee shooting activities and enforce range safety protocols. 

Students must complete the full classroom course and pass the written exam to receive their official NRA RSO certification. This credential is recognized nationwide and required by many ranges and shooting facilities.

This course is great for shooting range staff, club volunteers, shooting event organizers, or firearm instructors looking to expand their qualifications.

Must be 21 years or older and familiar with firearm operations.

No prior instructor certification is required.
